Select Plant Hire is proud to announce the upcoming arrival of two Revolution Batteries from Dumarey Green Power joining our fleet this July, with a further 3 arriving in Q3 this year - marking a significant step forward in our mission to deliver smarter, cleaner power solutions to the construction industry.
As part of our long-standing partnership with Dumarey, we’re now the first UK customer to integrate all three of their innovative energy products into our offering. The addition of the Revolution Battery enhances our ability to provide high-performance, low-emission power solutions tailored to the needs of modern construction sites.
The Revolution Battery is designed for applications that require brief bursts of high peak power, such as tower cranes and hoists, while maintaining low average energy consumption. With a compact design that delivers 300kW of peak power from just 28kWh of capacity, it significantly reduces the number of battery cells required - lowering embedded emissions and minimising the system’s footprint on-site.
One Revolution Battery is capable of powering a CTL1600-66 tower crane, replacing the need for an 800kVA generator with a standard 32A mains supply or a 40kVA generator. This not only reduces fuel consumption and emissions but also simplifies logistics and installation on-site. In practical application, this setup could save 3,000 litres of diesel, 7,920kg of CO₂e, and approximately £4,200 per week - a significant environmental and economic benefit for our clients.
Built in the UK using local labour and suppliers, the Revolution Battery supports domestic manufacturing and reduces transport-related emissions. But its sustainability credentials go even further - the battery is designed with full lifecycle impact in mind, not just the usage phase.
It also features automated reporting tools, enabling real-time tracking of fuel savings and emissions reductions - helping our clients meet sustainability targets with ease and transparency.
With the first two units arriving in July, the Revolution Battery marks a powerful new addition to our growing fleet of sustainable power solutions.
James Waller, Power Solutions Business Stream Leader, Select Plant Hire, commented:
“The arrival of the Revolution Batteries is a key step in our drive for cleaner, smarter power solutions. Our ongoing partnership with Dumarey Green Power continues to deliver practical innovations that help us, and our clients meet real-world sustainability goals without compromising performance.”
Jon Drakeley, Product Director. Dumarey Green Power, commented:
“We are proud to expand our collaboration with Select Plant Hire to include also the Revolution Battery. The team at Select are a long-standing partner who share our commitment to sustainability and innovation. The Revolution Battery demonstrates how smart, high-performance energy solutions can transform the way power is delivered on construction sites, cutting emissions without compromising on output.”
