Utilities

We offer a range of specialist equipment and vehicles, mainly to contractors working for utilities providers such as Yorkshire Water, Welsh Water and Thames Water. This service is based at St Neots and Wincham (near Manchester) – but we operate nationally, with qualified fitters working on-site to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.

Our range is extremely varied, and we can modify most of the products we hire to improve their performance or meet specific contract requirements. Our plant holding includes:

• ‘Hi Build’ lining rigs, capable of lining large-bore trunk mains
• lining rigs equipped for off-road use, and designed to travel on roads without damaging the surface
• lining rigs fitted with cranes
• pipe bursters, designed to split pipe underground without the need to open-dig
• rack feed borers, which can clean up to 100 metres of pipe in preparation for spray lining.

We also hire vehicles which can be customised for specialist purposes:

• tool vans, partitioned off with clean and dirty compartments and fitted with hand wash facilities
• camera vans, enabling operators to inspect the condition of pipes
• welfare units, fitted with equipment such as kettles and microwave ovens.
