Test & inspection

Select has its own internal Test & Inspection Service that is classed as an independent inspection body by its BSI registration.

The department can offer a range of Test & Inspections on all aspects of mobile, static and structural lifting equipment including:

• Tower Cranes
• Crawler Cranes
• Excavators
• General Lifting Accessories
• Lifting Eyes
• Runaway Beams
• Access Platforms

With eight inspectors based countrywide and a computerised certification filing system, the department offers it services to outside clients as well as to companies within the Laing O’Rourke group.  The inspectors are all qualified in their various disciplines and ongoing training is maintained as part of the Quality System.
