Design & fabrication

Select Plant can provide a fully BSI accredited Fabrications Service, to meet any special requirements sites may need. The need for this service has been increasing more and more as Health and Safety within construction has become the number one priority over recent years.

Select have fabricated a large variety of items on request, ranging from specially designed lifting beams to mobile lifting tackle storage racks, all of which would have had fabrication drawings and calculations before being constructed. Not every item that Select makes has a requirement to be certified, this is only necessary when the item will be lifting or supporting a load.

Depending on the use for the item it may require either a proof load test, an MPI (weld test) or in a lot of cases, both. This is carried out by Select’s own Test and Inspection department who can also offer a range of test and inspections on all aspects of mobile, static and structural lifting equipment.
